Silver in application with face mask

Viruses work on a mechanism to alter the DNA structure of cells which in turn produces mutant cells. In a face mask, as you breathe out, moisture expels along with bodily fluids containing human cells, providing the kind of media needed for a virus to activate. When a virus comes in contact with a human cell, it attaches itself and begins altering the DNA of the cell and creating mutated cells. These mutated cells are aerobic and still have the receptors for oxygen. Silver, having similar polarity to oxygen, lodges itself into these receptors, preventing the oxygen ions from being absorbed, thus killing the mutated cells. Moisture will free silver ions, and this can also help fight off resulting infection in the upper airway.
